This year we are pleased to offer several different classes to be held during our show. Please scroll down or click the links below to find out more information.

Friday November 11th
Love Knot Necklace - Friday 5pm - 8pm
Instructor: Marilyn Gardiner
This is a wonderful necklace that features a trio of stone beads alternating with a weighty chainmaille knot. The beads in the Argentium sterling necklace are blue Sodalite, while the Jeweller's Bronze uses black Onyx beads.
Make it with either Argentium sterling or with Jeweller's Bronze rings.
I will bring samples of jewelery to show a range of ways to use this weave.
Pliers designed for chain mail will be provided for class use.
The kit includes step-by-step, illustrated instructions, jump rings, 10 round stone beads, 20 stone rondelle beads, wire to wrap the beads, and a hammered-metal toggle clasp. Makes a 20" necklace.
All rings are saw-cut and polished.
Optional: bring eyeglasses or magnifiers, personal tools.
Skill Level: Beginner - all levels.

Right Angle Weave Crystal Heart Pendant - Friday 6pm - 9pm
Instructor: Roxann Blazetich-Ozols
Using bicone crystals are the best way to see how easily Right Angle Weave (RAW) comes together. By creating 2 heart faces and linking them together, you will see how cubic RAW can work. This design results in a hollow piece with 2 extensions for a cord or chain to flow through. The class kit includes a choice of colours in Chinese crystals, needles, thread and illustrated instructions. Optional findings with knitted wire chain or cord will be available if you wish for a nominal cost.
Skill Level: All levels welcome.

Saturday November 12th
Celtic Stars Necklace - Saturday 9am - noon
Instructor: Marilyn Gardiner
An unusual and eye-catching necklace - not one, not two, but THREE stars!
Make it with either Argentium sterling, Silver filled (10%) or with Jeweller's Bronze rings.
I will bring samples of jewellery to show a range of ways to use this weave.
Pliers designed for chain mail will be provided for class use.
The kit includes step-by-step, illustrated instructions, 13 sizes of jump rings, and a specially selected sterling hook & eye clasp or gold-colour toggle.
The necklace is 20" and the pendant of three stars 4.5" in length.
All rings are saw-cut and polished.

Silver Earrings - Saturday 10am - noon
Instructor: Louise Darbyshire
Create 3 beautiful pairs of sterling silver earrings. Learn to make 3 styles of ear wires and 3 methods of hanging lamp work beads to the ear wires. The class kit consists of the sterling silver wire needed to create the 3 pairs of earrings as well as comprehensive instructions. All the tools needed for the class will be provided. Six 8-12 mm lamp work beads will be needed for the earrings. The beads are not included in the kit. The beads can be purchased at the show prior to the class.
Skill Level: Basic knowledge of wire work would be an asset but is not a requirement

Knitted Wire Crochet Beaded Bracelet - Saturday 11am - 1pm
Instructor: Roxann Blazetich-Ozols
If you have never used knitted wire before, now is the chance to experiment with it! The class project will involve using large holed pony or drop beads strung onto this material to crochet a single strand of elegance. The appropriate findings to finish the ends will be discussed and illustrated with several examples. All skill levels including beginners to crochet are welcome! The class kit includes a choice of colours both in wire and beads, a crochet hook, findings, clasp and illustrated instructions.

Ocean Lace / Victorian Lace / Midnight Lace Bracelet - Saturday 1 - 4pm

This is a very special charm bracelet! It features lampwork lentil beads by Kirsty Naray, jump rings in a barrel weave, 4 coordinated colours of Swarovski crystals, spacer beads and milagro heart charms. It is completed with a whimsical heart or hammered ellipse toggle.
Make it either with Argentium sterling or Jeweller's Bronze or black craft wire jump rings.
I will bring samples of jewellery to show a range of ways to use this weave.

Silver Charm Bracelet - 1 - 4:30pm
Instructor: Louise Darbyshire
Shape sterling silver wire into links and suspend lamp work beads from the links to create a colourful charm bracelet. Learn how to bend wire to create the links, the clasp and the headpins for the beads, then link them all together into a beautiful bracelet. The class kit consists of the sterling silver wire needed to make a 7.5" bracelet, as well as illustrated instructions. All the tools needed for the class will be provided. Seven 10-15 mm lamp work beads will be needed for the bracelet. The beads are not included in the kit. The beads can be purchased at the show prior to the class.

Tubular Bead Crochet Bracelet - 2 - 5pm
Instructor: Roxann Blazetich-Ozols
Here is an opportunity to learn the basics of Tubular Bead Crochet to create a bracelet. By using #6 seed beads in several colours, even absolute beginners to crochet will be able to achieve success. In order to save class time, the beads will be prestrung on the fibre. There will be numerous samples to stimulate your design imagination with additional information on other patterns possible with this versatile technique. The class kit includes illustrated instructions, crochet hook, needles, fibre, floss holder, findings, and a choice of clasp, caps and bead colours.
Note: Shorter fingernails are an asset when first learning this technique.
